Basicly for all the incoming first year engineers.Now I know engineering covers a good few course but there is a lot of crossover.Feel free to talk about anything related or not so related to our courses:rolleyes:
I'l start.I'll be doing undenominated,I'm 17 an live in Galway.

I'm doing Engineering Innovations-Electronics, am 18 and have accommodation in Galway(originally from Gort)

I'd love to know if anyone else out there picked this course as I'm still amazed at the 200 point jump it underwent to 560 points... there must be a lot of smart people out there applying for this course!

So are all of you coming in on the 11th for the Orientation day?

Congrats man!!youre one of th elucky 16 to survive that drastic increase!!!what did you get if you dont mind me asking??

I got exactly 560! which is why I wonder what the others got? O.o
Otherwise I would have just done undenominated like yourself.
Do you know anyone else who applied for the course?

I'm strongly leaning towards computer science and IT but I suppose I'll have to see what happens this year.I might change my mind an go for something I wouldnt have thought about this year.Thinking mechanical aswell.:rolleyes:

same here. i like the sound of mechanical, biomedical, electronic, pretty much everything except civil!

Ya im exactly the same.....love how we have a whole year to decide anwe wont really miss much cause most of the courses share the same subjects in first year!!

That course went bat sh*t mental what was it like a 200 point increase? Was that expected? But yeah i'm in undenominated see yee there!:)

yup 200, its unbelievable, it's now the second highest course in NUIG, after Medicine of course.
Hell no I didn't expect anything like that, no one did, especially since Engineering rarely goes above 430 points
Well for first year most Engineering courses are almost the same so I'll see all you guys around^^

I'll be doing undenominated aswell! Apparently we're gonna have a fúck load of hours! But it'll be good, hopefully!
Why was that innovation one so popular this year?? How is it different?
Oh, and what laptops ye gettin for engineering courses??

Hm...the Innovations timetable isn't up yet.. well I can wait
I'l hopefully be getting the new hp tm2t tablet for college, if I can figure out a way of getting it imported from the US...
I know Laptops aren't necessary for 1st years but I'm getting one anyway as I'l be doing a lot of sketching, art and some programming on the move rather than using my PC at home. What about you people?

Ya I'm not gonna bother getting one for first year as apparantly official work can only be done in the pc suites anyways an I've a very good desktop at home anyways.
