Well here's my story. I'm finally starting to accept that I'm gay. I suppose like most people I've probably always known it but just didn't admit it. I've spent the last year accepting it and I suppose now I just have to start telling people close to me. I've told my sister who was her usual beautiful, supportive self about it. I haven't plucked up the courage to tell anyone else yet - Galway pride was on this weekend...I was in town on Friday night but couldn't pluck up the courage to join in.

Talking about this from behind my computer screen is one thing but I don't know if I'll be able to follow through. I'm a bit of a wimp

Anyway...reading all the different posts on here has helped...thanks :)

Dont worry it will get easier with time, but only when your ready.

You're hardly a wimp OP, coming to terms with being gay is a long process for everyone, don't beat yourself up over anything. :)

Like ItsThatManAgain says it will get easier over time. Accepting the fact you're gay is a big step, and a positive one too. Don't feel like you must tell people, take time 'till you're good and ready and confident about coming out. The fact you told your sister is a good step anyway, kudos with that. :)

It wasn't easy for anyone. When you're ready you'll find the way:)
