Can anyone tell me what the Aungier Street campus is like and the area around it? Starting a postgrad course there next month and I'm really looking forward to it. :D Thanks.

P.S. - What are the women like? ;)

Aungier Street is the nicest of all the campuses. It's clean, fresh and modern.

The craic' is almighty there and all is good. There is a big canteen, a large chill out area beside the student union, a shop, a café and all the bits and pieces you'd expect from the college.

And, yes, the women are nice.

Its got an excess of women......... It should share :P

Its a nice campus the only down side is unlike the other campuss its SU only gets cleaned at night so its a bit of a hole the rest of the day

I had an interview there in May and it seemed pretty nice. I've been in other campuses, like Bolton Street, and they don't exactly stand out for their aesthetic values :P I was only in it for 30 minutes though and didn't see the canteen, SU etc.

Just spent the last three years in Maynooth, so I'm looking forward to a change of scene; it'll be nice going to college in town after spending three years in Kildare! (I'm from Dublin myself.)

However I heard from a friend that in come particular computer/science course there was only one girl this year.

Can you imagine, one girl, being ogled over in a course with dozens of blokes.

    Yowsers!

Narrow corridors, really really REALLY slow computers, and ugg boots EVERYWHERE! My honest opinion is that the place lacks an atmosphere. Enjoy!

i second that. no one is nice in that college from lecturers to porters. full of stuck up d4 wannabe's. i came from maynooth as well and after a week you will wish you were back there. its a dirty filthy old building. everything in maynooth runs so much smoother, you have about 3 different log in's for everything, webmail is hard to use compared to maynooth and computers are slow and getting results etc is impossible. such an unorganised college and coming from maynooth where you do no groupwork to dit where they are obsessed with it is so hard. so glad to be finished with that place
