    I dont want to sound stupid or sexist (probably too late!) but i need some advice from those in the know...

    My wifes birthday is coming up and as a younger woman she was a decent tennis player (or so she tells me) and has been talking about taking it up again.

    My question is two fold:

    Is there a difference between male and female players racquet's?

    How much should i spend?

    There's no difference between them. In general, the grip size is smaller for a woman, but that really depends on the woman involved! If she's only getting back into it, then 50-60 euro would be plenty to spend (she will probably upgrade later on if she really gets into it again). If you could get a voucher for her that might be best, unless you have been able to get information from her as to her style of play in order to know what type of racquet to go for.
