I'm looking for up to 3 people to join our hunting group to shoot driven wild boar in Croatia from the 5th to the 9th of November.

We have 14 which will work but if we had 17 we could shoot larger more remote areas and have better chances.

This is our 3rd year back to the same place and we are very happy with the results.

PM me for details. No arseholes please.

i'd love to go, but recession says other wise, how much would such a trip cost..
and how can we be sure there are no arseholes already going. is there a limit to arsholes.
is it 1 arshole 5 sound lads 2 funny men and a couple of smart asses 1 droll but funny with out knowing it and 1 straight laced guy that organizes everything.
please correct me if i'm wrong :p:p:p

You're spot on. But 1 arsehole is enough in any group.

Total cost of trip is €1700 all in for 3 days with 3/4 drives a day.

Excellent trip and cost. Would definitely be interested in another year or two. No cash and no suitable rifle this year.

I can't afford time or money this year, but for next.

    I currently have a .308.
What rifles are allowed in Crotia to shoot boar?

Minimum allowed is .270 but they would prefer bigger.

The .308 would be fine with heavy bullets but these pigs can be hard to put down. I was using a 8 by 57 with 200gr noslers and it can take a few of them to put them down.

.300 Win Mag be welcomed? May have one sorted by next year.

What kind distance we talking?Driven is usually close range affairs from forest into open field. So failing a big cal rifle would a pump/semi 12 GA with shotgun slugs do?

Yep. If I get out after them, it'll be with a .300 Win Mag running 200gr Norma Oryx bullets or 200gr Swift A-Frames. Maybe a 180gr Barnes TBBC as a lighter option.

Absolutely. Has to be a nice reward for tolerating all that recoil from a .300 Win Mag with 200gr bullets. :p

Very tepting, that would be money well spent in my book. What is the story with trophy's. Is it extra and shipping etc. I assume the pigs are kept by the company ?

Some of the shots have been a couple of feet away and have to be made very quickly indeed!

We've had guys using 12gauge with 600gr Brennekke slugs and they work quite well.

Do they charge extra if you wound a Boar?
    or is there trophy charges?

No extra charges for wounding or trophy fees.

Everything is included Flights, transfers, accommodation and food but not drink.

If you shoot a really good tusker you may decide to get it mounted by a taxidermist which you will have to pay for.

FWIW,the drink, the local Rajki or Slimovijhe plum brandy is one to try,and then keep well away from for the duration. Makes our Potin look like tap water.
On the tusker.Better getting the boars tusks pulled and mounted on a base.Alot cheaper and space saving than a quater mount boar head.

If Iam alive next year, and there are more readies in the bank, put me down for a trip.
