I ordered an item from the Apple Store a while back, it never delivered. I checked the delivery address they used and for some reason they left out a crucial piece of the address so it's unlikely to arrive.

I'm wondering, does anyone know if the item will be returned to sender or would it just end up in limbo sitting on a shelf? I've paid for this already, the money's come out of my account.

This isn't the first time this has happened either, about 4 years ago I ordered a MBP from Apple, and they truncated the address I gave to them. If the delivery guy hadn't made a few deliveries to the address previously and not copped the mistake I don't know what would have happened.

I've never had that problem with the address, but provided it didn't get delivered to another address, it should return to sender. Did you get a tracking number?

Call Apple customer support. With your order number and the postal tracking number Apple should be able to ask the postal service to re-direct the item to an address you specify. e.g. in the case where a customer needs it re-directed to a work address. You may be able to do this yourself since you are the end recipient but would need to know if it's An Post or another company.

The postal/parcel service no doubt have it in a distribution center somewhere but it has died due to not knowing the next destination.

Best of luck, I had a package go AWOL on me years ago only to turn up after 3 months  (I had since bought the item from another supplier and found myself having to sell the second one).
