Didnt get into new course despite been a student in the IT?

I applied this year to do a new level 6 course in my current college (Carlow IT) but got no offers today. Im currently after finsihing repeating 2nd year of a 3 year higher degree in construction studies but applied to do 3 differnt level 6 courses in the college - Legal studies was my main one but also applied to Business with Law and Business Studies. I met all the requirements and tought id get in seeing as im already in the college.
Does any one know is there anything i can do now or just aplly next year gain and hope for the best?

I would contact Annette Murphy 059-9175174 in the Admissions office. There could be a number of reasons why you didn't get an offer yesterday....

1. You didn't meet the entry requirements and/or the points requirements.
2. You might have not submitted some info to the CAO??

The next round of offers are out next Friday, you might get an offer then!!

Turns out i was 10points short

Does anyone know if there is another way to get in. Such as transfering through the college or taking someones place that drops out?
