I bought this dress to wear to a wedding very soon, but havent a clue what to wear with it!!
I tried these shoes on,and I love them, but there cost a bit more than I want to spend, and I could walk in them but after wearing them in the shop for 5 minutes they kinda hurt my feet so im not sure if there worth buying!
So I still dont have any shoes and am finding it hard to get some, thing is Im not great in huge high heels, and definitely not stilettos!!

I also havent a clue what type of accessories to go for,or what I should wear over it?

Please help, this is the last weekend I have to go shopping before the wedding!

    Thanks!

I love the dress! Where did you get it? I'm looking for a dress that colour.

I think a pair of turquoise high heels would look nice with it (brighten it up a bit)

Or another slightly contrasting colour (purple, pink).

I would possibly just wear a chunky silver bracelet with it. I think it is quite busy up top, and a necklace would be too much.... if you were into fascinators, one might be nice though?

Thanks,I got it in coast, its actually been reduced online since I bought it so it may have been in store also,Its even nicer on too!

Oh see I never thought of that(contrasting colours)Im so useless with anything like this,I usually just go for a black a lot in accessories as its so much easier to match!
I quite like those shoes,I always forget about new look!
Had been thinking of a fascinator aswell but havent seen any I really liked yet!
    Thanks for that though:)

If your not sure about heels maybe you could try a pair of wedges they're much easier to walk in and easier on your feet I think!
a nice taupe colour would be lovley with this dress! However if your looking to brighten it up with contrasting colours I think Coral heels would be gorgeous! Good luck! x

Thanks!I might just give wedges a shot actually, havent worn them in years(broke my arm in a pair years ago so have steered clear since, although they were ridiculously high!)

Anyone got any ideas on what i could wear over the dress? The ceremony is outdoors so id need something over me,but not a shawl,im not into them!

A little shrug/bolero- try debenhams perhaps (normally I'm loath to say debenhams but they do have a reasonable selection of occasion wear accessories). Hard to say what this is like without seeing it in person but something like

Where are you located? If you're in dublin costello and costello (town and dundrum) do amazing fascinators and boleros etc. House of fraser also had some nice boleros too

Thanks so much for all the tips,Im getting some great ideas here!!
Would some type of jacket worn over the dress ruin the look of it do you think?

It depends on the jacket. I ould put a suit style jacket with it as that would just cover the dress up. I think a bolero might be your best option if you don't like shawls

You need something very off the shoulder or it will look lumpy over the roses, but since you don't want a shawl it might be hard to get something. The bolero style is quite cutaway usually though so you should be ok. I think you'll be able to find something that fits around the dress and lets it do the talking alright.

Hmm maybe I need to rethink the shawl thing then!I dont hate them, just find them a little awkward but I could put up with one for a few hours I suppose if I couldnt find a bolero to suit!
Thank you all again, given me lots to think about!

hi I agree with Dinkie, I would go with contrasting colour for shoes, bag and shawl. Think about bright pink, orange. If too much would go with nude colours shoes. Penney doing fab accessories in cream, peach or nude.:)
