Used these for the first time this weekend. The range is insane for a secondary. Played in an FFA just using them and ended up with 24 kills. Are they seriously overpowered or did I just get lucky?
A double tap and you can kill someone from 40-50m away no problem. It's way outside the range of a shotgun and most SMGs. Pretty awesome upclose too.

Thats their range, don't know how they havn't been patched

try them akimbo with steady aim their beast

they're good alrite, wouldn't say they're overpowered, i mean, why would you want to use them at long range, unless your out of ammo with your main. And at short range they're not as good as the spaz or other secondaries unless you use akimbo.

They seem to have replaces the G18's for the snipers secondary choice lately, have only really used them briefly but they are cool

No, I agree. I was just surprised by how good they were. Don't have akimbo yet and never fired them akimbo. I love the spas but it's much more fun running round like a loon with akimbo glocks and steady aim even though they're technically inferior in just about every way.
The one thing about rafficas though is its making me like the Famas all over again.

akimbo, lightweight, steady aim and sleight of hand is much fun with Rafficas

yeah but a loon side straffing all over the place and firing madly is harder to hit than some spaz who stands still and takes aim

some guy was calling me a noob for doing just thie one night in a FFA on Strike, I was running with the silenced UMP and mmet him in a laneway, there was a car there so i strafed over behind it and moved from left to right exchanging fire, got him eventially, what did he expect? me to just stand there? :rolleyes:

no matter what someone somewhere will have a problem with something you do . you just gotta sit back and take the abuse......or semtex there face next time you see them

went one better, he commandoed me not long after just after i spawned, so then i found him laying prone in a shop so i blasted him in the arse with the SPAS

rafficas with akimbo and extended mags are really powerful.
the sight on it is hard to aim with at long range though

The raffica is my second favorite secondary after the SPAS. Great secondary to have with a sniper.

I've got killed plenty of times by akimbo rafficas, must unlock and have a go. I've been running with akimbo Mp5k's the last week or so, great craic.

I really hate getting killed by rafficas. They're too powerful for you to be able to switch to them that quickly.

Am I the only one who finds them very powerful when used against them but not so powerful when using them myself? I often have to put 2 or even 3 sets of rounds into people with them and/or find it much harder to be an aggressive sniper - PP2000 w/extended mags ftw.
Would love for a raffica to work out for me, the switch time would be kick-ass for a sniper class.
