just had my gr15 raider out for cleaning and found that the small bearing at the back of the selector switch has moved and become stuck in one of the three holes under the switch!im still able to select the firing modes but im getting a lot of resistance on the switch when i do.is it a hard job to take the switch out of the lower reciever and fix it or will i need a new one?

    bruiser.

how far did you strip it down?
the actual switch itself on them its just a screw and a circular piece of metal behind it to move the firing selector plate on the gearbox.

on the gearbox though the plate runs over a metal contact and there is a tiny spring conecting that inside the gearbox for movement and such, maybe thats the problem? take the gearbox out and show us some pictures to try help you more

this may help you a bit a few pages in but its a few steps ahead where you are in the strip down.

basicially take the crane stock off look down the tube, unscrew that screw and take that off. take the bottom off the hand grip and pop the motor out and unscrew the 2 small screws inside that. then on the barrel there will be a pin where the reciever meets the barrel, pop that out and slide the upper reciever off the lower one that will expose your gearbox. on the lower reciever there are some more pins one at the back and one above the trigger tap them out also and your gearbox will come free exposing your fire selector plate and switch
