Noisy chick

Was in the garden over the weekend and heard a loud, high pitched repeated call. It went on for hours and was moving slowly.

I decided to investigate. Looks like the bull finch pair that I've noticed for the past few years have had a chick.

But bloody hell. They must win the prize for most demanding offspring. Never heard it before but was able to witness it being fed by mother who must have the patience of a saint.

To top it all off, I travel to the UK yesterday and hear the exact same noise out my hotel window. Over and over and over ....

Saw the male Bullfinch feeding junior this morning. Beautiful.
