    hi Folks,

I have to replumb house as its very bad. I have got a few quotes. 1 plumber wanted a full loop going all around the house in one continuos line. This would involve more chasing and also going under walls etc and would be more work.
Another plumber wanted to go straigh down the corridor and take tee's off left and right of this line to bring to each room. This would be much handier for all concerned.
Is there any difference really how its plumbed?

Also I was thinking of putting the rads on the oppisite wall. This means the wall just behind the corridor which would be even less chasing. And not having to take up all the floors.

    Any comments or ideas?

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    John

I am amazed none of the resident plumbers have answered this yet. From memory it usually depends on the length of the runs weather or not a loop is required but i shall leave that to the plumbers to advise.

Manifolds are another successful invention One for flow and one for return.

Go with the flow and return down the corridor, that is if you can get into every room from the corridor. Get the rads under the windows or second best adjacent walls, never opposite the heat wont circulate properly in the room.

It's hard to say which would be best with out seeing what's involved really. regarding performance wise there should be no difference really.
