Just read an advertisement in a magazine about these tablets, supposed to improve your hair, skin and nails. Which all sounds good to me!

I was wondering if any of you have tried these tablets and would recommend them? or noticed any side effects on them?
Want to be sure before I decide to buy them! :)

I use the boots own brand hair and nail tablets and I have to say they are brill and much cheaper than other brands :)

    What differences have you noticed?

I started eating a tub of cottage cheese a day a few months ago and my hair has got noticeably thicker!

This is the ingredient list. You'd do just as well with a decent multivitamin and some fish oils as take this, and it'd cost you a lot less. If you do want to take something specifically for your hair and skin there are better things available; you can buy a supplement called 'Head High' or Solgar do a supplement called 'Hair skin and nails'. Both contain a few additional things that help improve hair/skin condition like MSM and kelp; I'm sure that the boots own brand product is similar to these. The Perfectil product is overpriced and overhyped.

so how much would the boots brand be? although I dont think they do skin, its just hair and nails?
I'd be looking for tablets that improve my skin aswell!

Any supplement that will boost your hair and nails will boost your skin aswell:)

Accordng to their UK site these are their offerings:

    Here and here

Obviously the euro price will be different, but as I recall Perfectil are more expensive here than in the UK, whereas the conversion rate with the Boots own brand stuff is quite good.

Here are details on the Solgar one.

    Not one bit.

Chocolates, crisps, haribo (most sweet things), cakes, breads, biscuits, sugar in your tea, microwave popcorn, coco-pops, frosties, pop-tarts as well as large (i.e. typical) portions of rice, chips, pizza, potatoes, pasta and noodles are fattening.

If you'd like to know more visit this forum. :)

Isn't any better than any aul' half decent vitamin/mineral tablet. I'd save yourself the money and take them instead, or preferably (if you're looking for good skin/hair) plenty of cod liver oil capsules. No seriously.

It's not really very good for you at all, a lot of additives and crappy vegetable oil. You can buy kernels in the supermarket and it's piss to make on your own.

Get a saucepan with a lid, put some olive oil or coconut oil in the bottom and sprinkle the kernels so they're one layer deep. Put lid on, put on high. When the popping slows down to maybe one pop every second or two take it off the heat. Put some salt and melted butter to taste and hey presto you're ready to watch a movie!

It is still junk food though so watch the amount you eat. Cheese, almonds, cashews are better snacks that will keep you fuller for longer. Berries are good too.
