    Hi

I just went to re-register for year two of my course to find I am not eligible according to their records. I have two repeat exams to sit this week, does this mean I have to pass these before I can continue to year two? I passed everything form semester one, but failed two in semester two. Thanks for any help

If any of the subjects are pre- requisites you will not be able to progress until you have passed them.

    What exactly does that mean?

You need to sit those exams and if you pass, your in. If you fail, it dependent on the course and the subject - your course leader would advise you further. Some subjects you need to pass before you can continue.

You'll have to sit both repeats, then wait until you get the results. When you get the repeat results, only then can you fully register for 2nd Year. In the mean time, attend the lectures for 2nd Year.

I'd implore that you email your course leader. You can carry up to 10 credits over to the next year but these must be non-core modules. Your course leader will be able to tell you straight away whether or not you can carry your repeats. Regardless, give it your all in the exams because you don't want to add an extra work-load to yourself next year.
