I'm trying to find a 7 or 8 speed cassette(freewheel?) for a screw-on type rear wheel but all the cassettes on the likes of ChainReaction and Wiggle seem to be the non screw-on type:(.

Does anyone know where I can get the screw-on type or is there adapters for allowing the screw-on hub take standard Shimano type cassettes?

Coyne Cycles in Kinnegad have them. Just off of the N4

I've a seven-speed screw-on freewheel left over from my old bike. Never used, though I had it for over two years (just as a back-up), so I dribbled some light oil into it to make sure it stayed in road shape while in storage.

You can have it for free. PM me if you want it.

Rothar in Phibsborough definitely have 7 speed shimanos because I got one last week or so. They're located here : www.tinyurl.com/rotharmap - 171 Phibsborough Road, D7. 01 860 2615. Happy hunting! :)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm sorted now thanks to tomasrojo. It's just what I was looking for. It's very generous of you and I really appreciate it.

That Woolyhatshop is good, gman2k, I hadn't come across it before.
