Most shoplifted item in a Limerick shop

    Just heard a guy on Newstalk say that he knows a shop in Limerick where they had to start keeping one particular item behind the counter rather than on the shelves as it was the most shoplifted item.

    It's a general convenience store, as far as I know.

    Can you guess what it is? I was very surprised.
    Tin foil (stolen by heroin users).

    Someone posted in the Junky thread in the Dublin forum about one city centre shop who hands out tin foil in the deli to the junkies so they don't steal the bars.

    Packaging on KitKats was changed for said reason, and everyone thought they just had the munchies for them.
