Plenty of places can do it, but just aren't aware of the material that they can use. There's a new CF wrap material on the market which doesn't distort when heated to conform to surface shapes, it's from 3M, and its called DI-NOC Carbon Fibre Wrap.

Once they buy in a roll of that (It's expensive though), they can wrap it just like any other vehicle.

Why would you want to ruin your car...
No offense but I really don't like fake carbon fiber effects on cars.
Getting them wrapped in matt black or some other colour is understandable but not fake carbon fiber...

Anyway, a full car wrap should cost you around 1000eur, probably more.
If you just want the bonnet or something, it should be much less.
I knew a couple of places in UK but don't know any in Ireland though there surely should be a few.

1k for a full car wrap seems cheap, I was quoted 3.5k for a full wrap in plain white no graphics ect. Granted it was only one place that I tried but I also got quotes from about 10 companies for a roof covered in matt black vinyl and the price ranged from 150 to 450.
Aside from being able to removed the vinyl I think I would be inclined to go for a respray if it was costing 3.5k or close to it.

Di-noc is the stuff that you want if its carbon fibre effect, as paintdoctor said its not cheap though

These guys are supposed to be good:
    http://www.carbonskin.co.uk/

They've also got an outlet in Dublin so you're in luck.

Prices are around £850 for hatchback to over £1400 for big saloon.

I'm just curious, when you say carbon wrap, is it a vinyl wrap with a cf effect?
or do you mean matting and glassing the car?

It's vynil wrapping you're after, not carbon wrapping...

    Revolution Graphics

Here's a buddy's Elise which was wrapped by Revolution:

Are you allowed say how much? I presume an Elise would be more than standardish hatch due to all the tricky angles and slats etc?

2 Espressi, you're spot on, that exactly what Im looking for. As above, any idea of a price for something like the Elise(smashing job!)

Acutally if its cheaper than a full body respray I might consider getting my Puma wrapped in vinyl too...

I've seen those pics before - smashing job, the Elise looks evil in matt - and can't help thinking that that outfit'd be well-advised to spend a few quid at laying a bit of tarmac outside their workshop. All those stonechips/gravel lying about is a disaster waiting to happen.

Unless they're going for the quick turnaround repeat business, business model...

Can't find the original thread on Octane, but I think the Elise was about a grand, it's a small car so mot as much vynil was reqruied, but it was a tricky install due to the curves.

Sorry for bringing up such an old thread but had a search around and couldn't find anything else. Does anyone know how much it would be to get the carbon wrap removed from just the roof of the car or is it something you could do at home without damaging the paintwork.

Heating with very hot water I find, is better than a heat gun to ease removal, no guarantee of not pulling the paint with it though.
