What shoes to wear?

I live in jeans and runners.

I bought a skirt a few weeks ago for an upcoming event. The first skirt in years - since my school uniform days.
Im on boards mobile so i cant link a picture but i will describe it - knee length denim skirt that flows out. Hope thats a good describtion. Will try and link a picture when i get to a computer.

I have no idea what shoes to wear with it. My mam says heels but i dont know about heels. They wont be comfy and I probably wont wear them again or not for a long time anyways.
I want to get something that I could wear again. I wouldnt mind something that would give me a little height but not scary heels. Would welcome any advice and recommendations of what shoe to wear.

Have you thought about wedges? More comfy than heels and easier to walk in, high heels might look a bit too dressy for a knee length denim skirrt but wedges would look fab......

in case you cant walk in heels you can always try sandals. metallic shades like silver,pewter,gold go well with denim blue.
