You may be able to fix it yourself and save a small fortune. Managed to change the bearings in mine last year for a cost of 20 euro, and a few weeks ago, fitted a new drive belt. All fault and repair info available wth a simple Google.

Galway appliance repairs are very good. They go all round the city, even though based out in knocknacarra i think

repaired a dishwasher for me last year

[PM me for the phone number or check the phonebook]

Dont know what your problem is but its always good to check the filter is not blocked. If you say what is the filter then it may be your (blocked) problem.

when I turn washing machine on its fine but after about 15 minutes into the wash cycle, it trips the main trip switch in the house. I had a sparky check out the electrics, and the socket ets is fine. The machine will spin no problem its just the wash cycle which is a bummer cause its a washing machine. Its about 2 and half years old. Does it sound like it could be an expensive job. Thanks all for advice

    The Main Switch

Does it not trip another trip anywhere...and what is the rating of that trip ... eg has it 15A or 20A or 24A written on it ?? Is it heating water itself or are you feeding it hot water through the hose at the back ?? Are the hoses at the back perhaps kinked, pull machine out and check

Sounds like a short circut, possibly caused by a leak.

Sounds like it could be the heating element

Could be a few things from what you say about it tripping the main switch
    Water leak could be one
the suppressor could be failing but this should only trip the mcb on your fuse board the other one is the brushes on the motor if they are worn could be another problem but easily fixed and cheap same as the suppressor which can be bypassed granted you might get some interference on your tv depending where you are in east galway i have a friend who fixes washing machines and dish washers and all that gear and will not rob you if you want pm me and i will give you his number
