    people ive just noticed quickpicks only have 6 numbers per line but to win the lotto you need 7 numbers,:confused: where is bonus number on a quickpick

    The bonus ball can be any one of the six numbers, its a bonus, that they pick out the seventh number, and you only have to match six of them.

    Your getting confused with, euromillions.

    you need 6 numbers to win the lotto. the bonus ball is for awarding prizes lower down the prize ladder, such as 5 regular numbers plus the bonus ball.

    but you knew that already right?

    You only need 6 numbers to win the Lotto - the 6 that are drawn out first are the winning numbers.

    The bonus comes into effect when you have, for example 3 of the winning numbers. If you also have the bonus number, then your prize increases.

    Either way, if it's a quick pick or you pick the numbers yourself, you don't pick an additional number to be the bonus one.
