    Hey
Got a Medion from Aldi back at the start of the year and I put my own Soundblaster Audigy 2 soundcard into it. Ever since (and im not 100%sure but i think i was getting the stop 50 error 1 or 2 times in the few days before i installed the soundcard too.

Ever since ive been getting very regular blue screens, shown below. Happens at random (havnt seen any pattern as to when and why they occur) and restarts the computer again. It is very irritating and i need to sort the problem out.
Os is windows 7. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Neil

I've got the same card which I've brought with me to a few computers... drivers arent great with it... but never caused me this much hassle. In my opinion, it's either

    a) hardware fault, somewhere between you putting the card in to the PC it got damaged
    b) software fault - driver issue, incompatibility issue (it's an old card after all)..

I would start by physically removing the card.. Then go on the Internet and see is there a Window 7 driver for the card, like I said it's an old card, so you may have problems with this... Then do a reinstall of the soundcard.

Also, have you noticed that there is any application running when this blue screen happens or is it completely random.. One of the applications may have an issue with the card.

    Hi,

The error shown in your pics relates to NTFS.SYS (a driver that, in simple terms, enables read/write operations to NTFS partitions on your hard disk)

As this error points you to a hard disk issue, the first thing you should do is backup any and all critical data to another location.

As regards resolving this issue, I would : check event logs for any errors related to hard disks, update drivers as appropriate (via microsoft update or manufacturers websites), run a decent disk defragmenter (auslogics for example) and run 'chkdsk /r' .

Good luck and let us know how it goes,

    J

Did a quick google of the issue, and I agree with Yellowdog.. the addition of the Audigy soundcard issue and the subsequent STOP error may be just coincidental... I would remove the sound card completely and run the disk diagnostics mentioned above...

It is important that if there is an issue with the disk that you find this out before your warranty runs out, assuming that you got one, so just run with the onboard sound and see if you get this error again (i.e. without the Audigy).
