Maybe other lads using a rear grab can help me out here....

Is there a way of plumbing in rear valve chest of a shear grab so that I don't have to press tractors aux lever aswel to get it to work? If I tie up the tractor lever , then I've no lift controls

    Any suggestions??

What tractor have you it on?
I plummed the lift arms in with a T-piece going to the assistor ram on a ford 5000. the spool pack has 4 levers, first one is for the liftarms pumping oil into the ast ram pipe for up. The rest are for the normal loader controls. I leave the aux service knob out/on all the time. Hope this helps, let us know what tractor you have.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Thanks for the reply, blue5000. Some fruit for thought, I know exactly what your saying.

I've a Mchale rear shear grab on mast on a '03 new Holland. She doesn't have an assistor ram though. The grab has it's own valve chest which I've mounted on side of mudguard just outside back window and the flow and return pipes from the valve chest I just connect into rear aux of tractor.

Maybe theres no way to have control of aux and lift at the same time?? I know you've done away with this problem the way you've done it, very clever;) I know some lads would say to set the lift at certain height and just use the up and down of the loader, but I'd like to be able to use lift aswel to be able to reach top of pit and also lower it to get out lower silage bench....

Seems I'm still at a loss as to what to do....

I would have thought this was a common problem, but I suppose there are alot of lads on here using round bales or else have their grabs on front loaders....
