Dell Laptop Batteries

    My Dell Vostro 1000 battery can barely hold a charge for long nowadays (30-40 mins max) and I'll be starting college next month so I need a new battery. Had a look on Dell's website and a replacement is €146!

    Here is the battery. Is there any place I can get that cheaper?

    Wow, what a coincidence. I was just thinking same for my Vostro1000 at lunch today. Ebay is the way to go, but make sure to buy from a reputable seller. Like 10K+ Feedback at 99%+.

    I'm debating two 6 Cells or one 9er. Same cost. Thing is I cant hotswap them.....

    Yeah I'm just concerned about getting a dodgy battery from someone other than dell:)

    Is that 6-cell? Doesn't really say.

    I'll try and get one over the weekend so :)


    EDIT: Theres a list of part numbers at the end and KD476 is one and my 9-cell says TYPE:KD476. Could say that on 6-cells too though actually :)

    They normally say somwhere in the listing. That doesnt even say wattage, I'd steer clear of that one.
