well, based on your dimensions you need 12 x 5 x 0.5 = 30 cubic feet...which is about 0.85 cubic metres of concrete. I don't know if a readymix supplier will bring you a cubic metre, (usually a drop off after a 4 or 5 cubic metre delivery somewhere else local...) but you'll only find out if you ring them. Check with your local readymix suppliers!

Don't know what you mean by a big bag, though. I've not heard of readymix concrete coming in bags before.

2m is the minimum order with roadstone anyway.

I dont get the ready made and bags part? do you mean gravel and cement dry mix in a bag, and you add the water? or just want normal order from roadstone etc in a truck ready to pour?

Never heard of it being sold this way. You could get a ton bag of gravel, few bags of cement and a mixer, and got at it yourself, but their is companies that will do smaller amounts. Wee-mix being one

I got a cubic meter of readymix a few months ago. I am not sure where from, it might have been CPI.

you can get as little concrete as you want from suppliers but they will charge you a minimum. it would not be recommended to get a small amount as the concrete will start to go off before it leaves the batching plant. you would be better of mixing it yourself.

.85m of concrete will have an approximate weight of 2 tonnes.

so you will be talkin about 80 bags of your dry ready mixed stuff.

    or alternatively
    with a mix ratio of
    1 cement : 2 sand : 3 gravel

    13 bags of cement : 600kg of sand : 1000kg of gravel

for the sake of a few euro you could bump up the cement content for extra strength.

not sure the price of the readymixed bags but i dounbt it could be cheaper than the hand mixed stuff. and you know exactly the mix too.

You could also try any precast concrete manufacturers in the area, if you could borrow a trailer and call to their yard im sure
you could get a cubic metre of concrete at a good price.
