Someone I know has been offered a fairly senior position at Anglo-Irish, the money is better than what they are currently making but they are uncertain whether they should take the job. Longer term considerations are also in play (possible wind down, bad reputation of the bank etc.), I was saying that with €25bn injected it doesn't look likely Anglo would be completely wound down and they wouldn't be hiring if they were. What do you guys think? Would you take the job?

I have a close family member working there for just under 2 years.

It's a tricky one. I know they have some fantastic, extremely intelligent people in there. As you say, with the bailout, I'm not sure what the story is, but I can't imagine it going in the next few years. I suppose if he wants to work there until retirement, then maybe not. But if he's interested in a few years experience, and moving on after that, then it's not a bad move.
