Are there ferries that I can get from Northern Ireland to Norway or Finland or Sweden? Or even ferries from Scotland? I just can't find any on the net. Thanks in advance

How about http://www.tallinksilja.com/en/? First Google hit on the topic...

Edit: My reply was based on the topic of your post, "Travelling to Estonia". Inside the post, you seem to be asking for other destinations, not Estonia at all... I am confused.

Yes I am looking to travel to Estonia, and was just thinking really getting a ferry to Finland or Sweden, and then ferry over to Estonia from there. Either that or drive, but I'm planning on going around Christmas and the girlfriend doesn't really want to drive because the snow will be so bad.

The website you gave me doesn't go anywhere near Ireland? I did check google myself and can't really seem to find anything, hence the post here

why not fly? to be honest looking to get a ferry to estonia from ireland is going to result in you taking 3 ferries at least and with a load of driving in between. you can get a ferry from northern ireland to scotland but from looking here
    http://www.ferrylines.com/en/ferries/ferries-in-the-north-sea/
that's not really much help as most (uk) east coast ferries only bring you to holland or belgium, there used to be ferries across to hamburg/denmark but they don't seem to exist anymore.

OP, DFDS Line travel between Harwich in South East England to Esbjerg in Denmark. They do a landbridge fare in conjunction with Stena Line, here's the info:

    http://www.dfdsseaways.co.uk/landbridge/Ireland_to_Copenhagen

    http://www.stenaline.ie/ferry/landbridge/scandinavia-dfds-seaways

From Scandanavia to Estonia there is plenty of choice, just "google" DFDS Seaways, Tallink, and Viking Line. All have frequent services throughout the Baltic.

Best of luck and happy sailing.

if you've a load of time and money then fire away take the ferry, just keep the following in mind
    - ferry from dublin to holyhead - 3 hours
    - driving from holyhead to harwich - 7 hours
    - ferry from harwich to esjberg - 17 hours
    - driving from esjberg to stockholm - 10 hours (plus big toll going across the bridge from denmark to sweden)
    - ferry from stockholm to tallinn - 16 hours

those driving times are straight through and don't include stops, as you've already pointed out your girlfriend doesn't like driving in snowy conditions, it'll be december so the weather is unlikely to be brilliant and that's just the driving part, the swells on those long ferry journeys will be interesting.

cost wise i'd say you're looking at about a grand between the 2 of you.

I'm familiar with to-ing and fro-ing from here to there, and if you are definitely driving, then the quickest way (avoiding snow) is from Ireland to France, Cherbourg/Roscoff to Northern Germany, Rostock to Riga, and Riga to Estonia.
