That's been rumoured for a year or two now, so don't hold your breath. This new update to the rumour may just be another hoax, but we'll see! I sure do hope it's real though!

I hope it does, remember seeing the ad on tv for it and was sold on it 'gonna need more zombies'

Yes but there have been some changes over the past two months.
Mainly because Valve have came on board with the PS3 since the Portal announcement at E3.
That paved the way for a future release and as the link says GT-TV have a big announcement about L4D 1+2 on the next show, so it could well come now.

seems to be the case , taught bout it yesterday and i dont think it be out this year , while valve are working on portal 2 and trying to get steam to work on ps3 and have cross play i reckon it be after it

but Valve had gone on record several times saying how complicated the PS3’s architecture is and how it had no interest developing for the console! that was the summary i gathered some time back when i had an ogle as to why this game was not on the platform.. maybe the only thing that swung said final decision is that they said like the idea of using the Move stick as a gun with Portal?! who knows if they'll port this relatively old release.. won't hold my breath unless confirmation surfaces anyhow

MS won't let valve do what they want, Sony are letting them do whatever they like.
