I have three crowns. The two older ones never gave any trouble. They are the 'post' type. However, the latest new one is similar to what you describe. The procedure was done all in one day, very high tech, and using porcelain. The cost was about 700 euros. I have it about 6 months and it hurts to chew. I continue to hope it will settle down, as to remove these new bonded-on crowns, is not an easy job...

    Lucy,
It sounds like you had a CEREC restoration. You need to go back to the dentist to have this checked, because it also sounds like your bite might be slightly off. An easy adjustment and the symptoms might settle. I've seen this a few times with Cerec.
