    Hi guys

Can someone explain to me why oh why can you only check in online for SOME aerlingus flights? Makes no sense to me. They even send you 'reminder' emails that you can do this stuff and then the airport is not listed on the online checkin page (I'm talking to you frankfurt!)

Surely if they have the system implemented they should allow it for all locations.

    [/end venting]

It may not be nessecarily Aer Lingus, but the airport themselves who can't handle online check-ins (i.e Security scanners may not read their boarding passes etc).

Ah, yes... I was thinking the checkin kiosks are not a requirement but I forgot about the scanners at the gate that needs to be compatible.

That said, lufthansa let me checkin with a 2d barcode on my phone so you'd think that they could easily support aerlingus' format on paper as well. but I guess someone has to pay to implement stuff like that.
This is probably included in airport taxes as well. an extra 50c if you want the airport to scan printed boarding passes
