Looking for a netbook and for €250 delivered this seems like a good deal to me. Wondering if it's worth the hassle of a possible Customs hit though.

3 cell battery is a major turn off. Plus the custom hit will be 20 odd % of the irish price.

For a basic netbook why not try MSI wind plus. Got solid reviews

I'd put money on you being hit for VAT too. Large electricals always do. And it may well be UPS so add another tenner+VAT for a handling fee too.

Ok the answer to this question will probably make up my mind;
How long would a 3 cell battery last doing a little bit of browsing and MS word/excel; and how much would it cost for a 6 cell?

Depends on the machine my sisters laptop gets around an hour, my 6 cell gets around 2 hours+

Get a laptop from Dell I would recommend the studio series - this is my second dell recommendation today - Dell are you listening?!

Have an XPS already courtesy of the Dell Outlet; looking for a Netbook and unfortunately they don't have any Mini 10s [Or anything at all!] in the Outlet store at the moment. Don't really want to spend more than €250 so it rules out their proper website [€349 afaik].

Six cell will get you 5-8 hours depending on the netbook. The MSI wind plus hits 6 comfortably.
3 cell again varies but i wouldnt counton much past 3hours tbh
