I done the driving test 18 months ago but failed on one stupid thing that i still can't believe i done. I was driving for two years from 2007 till 2009 and i had to sell the car because of financial difficulties at that stage. I have a new car now and am going to do everything it takes to pass the test this time. there is just one question i need answering and that is, do the rsa testers still do the emergency stop ? as before the tester shouted stop and there was no pedestrians or automobiles on the road and me the dumbass slowed right down and indicated and pulled over and stopped, when what i should have done according to him was break hard and stop. thanks in advance.

    thanks for the replies

I done the driving test in swords dublin with sgs i think it was called and the tester shouted stop but i pulled over. he did say when we went upstairs in the test centre that i told you to stop and you didn't you should have breaked hard as it was an emergency stop. but at that time i was told that they didn't do that E-stop anymore. but thats the way the tester done it.

well i hope so, but i'll be ready just incase. yeh i did find it strange because i wasn't expecting him to include that E-stop but maybe that was just sgs at the time. and i thought they were supposed to tell you beforehand if they were going to implement the emergency stop.

anyway thanks for the replies much appreciated.
