I would get a second opinion from another doctor tbh. Sensitivity is one thing but if it's effecting your life and doesn't effect most other peoples then it's worth investigating further.

    Best of luck.

I also get chaffing and sores from the wrong sanitary towel or underpants. Sometimes from jeans. I think it's just sensitive or fragile skin.

Agreed with Ickle Magoo - go get a second opinion. Ideally attend the doctor when your symptoms are at their worst.

It could also be something of a vicious cycle - it never gets a chance to heal properly, so the irritation keeps constantly re-occurring. Ideally if you could walk pantless around in the fresh air for two weeks, then you'd be able to let it heal properly, but that's not practical :D

You could try some different clothing. Cycling shorts in particular are designed to sit next to the skin and cause little or no chafing. They have chamois leather inserts, and coupled with some chamois cream, they should keep you comfortable all day (worn under your jeans or whatever obviously). Give it a couple of weeks to all clear up, just make sure you give the undercarriage a good wash every day (twice a day if it's very bad) as any raw or inflamed skin is liable to get infected or further irritated if you leave it to its own devices.

Try some baby powder, if its a friction thing might help reduce it a bit when its the jeans/underpants ?

You could be having a reaction to something? Chemicals, washing powder, etc .. Some underpants drive me nuts if they've got elastic , i get itchy form them. I also have to be careful what I wash my clothes with.

Do you use fragraned panty liners? They are a no-no for me, instant irritation.

Any chance its a mild yeast infection that isn't healing completly I wonder? I only suggest as I had that after my child was born, wasn't a bad one, but just would not go away.. felt better for a couple weeks, then would come back..went on for months :( if not a typical yeast infection, could be some sort of thrush-like thing, but i guess the doctor would have maybe said if it was.

I have visited to different doctors same ans and I was examined on both occasions - its not like I wear super tight clothing or anything
I do spend my evenings pantyless to let her breath

As I sit at work all day I wonder if its affecting herself below being all squashed like that

its so annoying and it puts a dampner on sex life, social life, work life you name it

I have yeast checked and its AOK - I must be super acidic or something

Also my partner says when we do it he sometimes feels stinging and his PP gets a rash after and gets very dry - (he is well endowed) he too go checked out all is ok

I have the same problem with rough pads or scratchy undies, I have paper-thin skin and come up in blood-filled blisters that are very painful, in fact I have one at the moment. Also my skin sometimes rips from sex...not even particularly energetic sex.

I asked the doctor about it and I'm perfectly healthy, just have terribly sensitive and thin skin.

I do a lot of walking and cycling and have learnt the hard way that tampons are the only way to go, otherwise the pads literally rip the skin.

Buy soft cotton pants, tampons or the softest pads you can find. Maybe try jeggings instead of jeans, because they are softer, or go for jeans with a little more room in that area so it's not rubbing up against you? Do you use fabric conditioner? That defo helps to soften the fibres, might help a little bit.

Oh and for the blisters, germoline is yer only man! Helps to heal up the skin in no time.

I only ever wear 100% cotton underwear and as for thongs - forget it not a chance

I must try that cream - have tried, sudacream, valasine and savalon

Doc suggested cleaning with salt water - this can be difficult but I do it

I am visiting GYN soon so I will mention to them but he will prob suggest a Dermatologist

    My and my sensitive vajaja

wow.. never heard of that happening. poor thing :(

all i can think of right now (comes from some distant memory of a friend years ago having an acidity problem downstairs) is to add bread soda (aka baking soda) to a warm (not hot) bath. about a full cup of it.
won't help internally, but may help the outside bits by soothing some of the irritation and will counteract some of the acidity.

You could try using organic cotton pads for when you have your period, I find them better than typical brands you'd buy in shops. I get them in health shops. I would get mildly irritated skin when I have my period and don't use organic cotton pads, normal pads have bleach in them to make them whiter! Obviously can't be good to put bleached cotton so close to sensitive downthere skin

    Good luck!

That is some great advice about organic pads, have never heard of them

First thing I thought when I read the post was were you carrying a bit of weight in that area (think thighs perhaps) and that your clothes were too tight.
Doesn't seem that way reading down the post.
I would wear loose clothing and plenty of cotton, linen in the summer. Get up and move around every hour or so at work just for a few minutes.

No I am not carrying any extra weight at all - am a size 8/10
and I dont wear anything overly tights
Its such a pain in the ass = excuse the pun

You could try the Mooncup, I find that tampons sometimes annoy me.

I'm trying to think of that stuff that hardens the skin, I think tennis players mix it with talcum powder and rubs it on their hands?

    Mooncup????

Its not just pads though it everything

my only alternative its to wear long skirts and no underwear - not very appealing

Hey OP, yes this happens to me. You should buy yourself some caldesene powder from the chemist. it's used for nappy rash on infants and sensitive adult skin. It's designed for chaffing. Put it on at night - gone by the morning and keep it with you during the day. It's a god send.

If you're using tampons make sure they're pushed right up as the end can sometimes cause chaffing if it's too low. Stop using panty liners as they may make the irritation worse. If needs be bring extra underwear to change during the day.

Another good tip for instant relief from symptoms is the mint and tea tree shower gel you can get can't remember the name (it's in a green bottle and it smells amazing. If you use that in the shower it'll reduce the pain. Make sure you only pat dry with a towel. Loose pj bottoms (Cotton) in the evening keeping the area dry at all times.

A good soak in the bath can help with chaffing too. Vaseline is great around the tops of the legs but I find caldesene the best. Make sure when you're having sex you're using lube to prevent dryness. If you're using condoms make sure you're not allergic to them (Did u ask the doc about this)

Unfortunately chaffing is common enough but an embarrassing condition people don't like to talk about so it can be hard to get advice... def invest in caldesene though. It's only about 5 quid a tin. (Pink and white tin in every chemist across the land)

Hope that helps - I know how painful it can be
    Lyns
