I am thinking of doing a course this Saturday and I will have my Security Licence and then apply.

What sort of hourly rates would be paid for below role?

I have no experience. I will have my licence and I will pass any security checks they do.

Btw, I am a skinny dude..not big bouncer type..lol..will that be a disadvantage to me?

    Any advice appreciated..

The rates for security work get increasingly appalling every year so don't get your hopes up. Retail security = minimum wage (in Galway anyway). Door staff rates down here start at about €10.50ph and go up to about €20/25ph depending on the environment, employer etc (low end = company, high end = in-house). Don't know what Dublin is like though to be honest. There's a few current and former doorstaff knocking around on boards so maybe they can shed some light on it for the Dublin scene.

You have next to f all chance of getting this role with no experience

" Relevant Nightclub / Late Bar security experience [ retail security is not relevant ] "

Also if you have no security experience whatsoever do you really want to work as a bouncer in a nightclub in TempleBar ?

I know this thread is a bit old but I have to get in on this.

The security industry nation wide is governed by an Employment Regulation Order. This order dictates the minimum & maximum rates of pay for anyone engaged in the static guarding industry.

The bad news Op is as you no experience in the industry you are looking at a starting rate of €10.01. Night shifts and Sunday working will attract an additional allowance.
