CAO points for ucc arts

    i got 350 ,,,, does anyone think its possibly i could get arts in ucc ,,,, everyones on about the extra applicants but i reckon a lot of them wont have a language to get into ucc ,,,, the cost of uni could also mean more students then usual cant afford to go ,,,, and finally im wondering does anyone think that the leaving cert was harder then usual this year and that points didnt seem as high overall ,, im stressed out about it because ive nothing under arts and cant repeat ,, anyone think its a possibility it could go down from 360 ,, im not holding my breath but im hoping maybe i could squeeze in

    I would be very surprised if it went down. I expect it to go up again this year. They've had a record number of applications, especially for Arts Degrees around the country. All you can really do is wait and see.

    Its hard to ever predict how these things are going to go. Best thing to do is just try to not think about it (I know its harder than it sounds!) and just see what happens Monday. The high failure rate in maths this year could also have a huge bearing on points also this year I would imagine.

    Indeed!! When I did my leaving cert, 7 years ago, UCC had the highest points requirements for Arts in the country. I think it was 390 or thereabouts.
