The past four summers have been pissing rain. Its winter all year around here in Ireland.

Are we ever going to see a blue sky ever again here.

I think the next hot dry day there should be a national day off work. Its such a pity to work on the rare occasion that the sun does come out.

We don't get summer in this country, just spring, autumn, and winter.

June was great, july was meh, and the two weeks so far in August have been pretty good here in Dublin

No, not for another year I'm afraid. Constant cloud cover.

July wasn't as good as it's previous months, but at least it wasn't a washout, When it did rain, it was mainly at night time, so it didn't really bother me.

But yes, the last week or so wasn't great, but also not as bad as it could of been, knowing Ireland that is. :p

June(and May) was a scorcher. Last Sunday was well a Med type day. I knew beforehand from watching the forecast that it was going to piss rain this week so had an impromptu outdoor drinks session with the neighours.:D

Weather is weird though. The other morning it was misty dull type crap and then by midday you'd get a tan. Now thats common in the Emerald Isle!! :P

This summer hasn't been too bad. Two years ago was the worst summer of rain in living memory that I can recall!

No definitely not just you. where I live on the NW coast there have been many days of constant cloud cover all day long, so thick there is no way of telling at what position the sun is at, so 8.00am looks the same as 1.00 pm the same as 5.00pm the same as 9.00 and of course by 10.00 it's just dark.

There so much cloud in the sky now I can't think of any reason why this part of the world should ever see much sunlight again:(

As someone who is into the outdoors & heading off camping at the weekend for the duration of the summer i think its been a fairly sh!te one.
Out of the 7 or 8 weekends i got away more than half of the time it was raining so i don't know why the hell people are saying its been a great summer??! It just hasn't.

Yet again my plans for a weekend in the outdoors has been pissed on by our fcuking annoying weather system. We had one day out of the last 20 that was really nice, last sunday i think. It was 24/25 degrees then back to the usual sh!te.
This country seems to be the place where all the Low pressure in the world goes for holidays.

Ah well in another few weeks & its back to even more sh!tty weather as autumn rears its ugly head.

If i won the lotto i'd be the fcuk out of here the next day.

The thing is that Dublin has a different climate, I went over a few weeks ago and by maynooth things were brightening up a bit, when I stopped in Dublin central... wow it was a beautiful day, bright dry warm and sunny with some nice white fluffy clouds, came bach here same day and sure enough by leitrim the rain was falling it was all dark damp cool and bleak. east and west are worlds apart.

Good for you. I wish i was in a position to up & leave but unfortunately i can't at the moment. Maybe in the next 2/3 years i'l head off to somewhere that gets more than 15 days of nice weather per year.

Im proud to be Irish but theres very little here to be happy about at the moment. I daydream about my time in Australia.:(

Me winning lotto = out the fcukin gap.:)
