    Hi Guys,

I would like to share my experience with Encore Acquisitions. They are only pirates!! Applied for the job position (Admin/sales position) which i knew was door 2 door don't get me wrong. Anyhoo the interview came around, the interviewer asked me why do you think you are suitable for the job. So I reapplied with (not the direct qoute) well seeing as the requirements for the job is access to a car. He interputed me and said "no that wasn't the job that we advertised!!" What the funk... but like.. "NO no this is Junior Marketing Executive". So being as gullible as the next went I away chuffed!

Got called back to the second interview where you meet certain cleints, assistant managers and like. To my surprise they wanted me to drive out to salthill and meet clients. So we made our way out, on my diesel may i had, and there i was MEETING CLIENTS MY ELBOW!! grrr

Bloody waste of time business 2 business shadowing the other rep selling broadband!! That was the second interview what load of bull.

    Do not trust this crowd.

No, they are unfortunate poor divils who are desperately trying to make a living without claiming benefit. I don't buy at the door, but it doesn't make them scumbags.

There's nothing stopping people from putting a small sign on the door saying "no unsolicited selling please"

I put a sign on the door saying "no charity bags, stickers, free newspaper or advertisements" and it worked most of the time, apart for some illiterate idiots who pushed junk mail through the door anyway.

I'm not calling the actual salespeople scumbags, I'm saying operations like the Cobra group etc. are absolute scum. They are the equivilent of a legalised mafia (Without violence)

When I did door to door sales there were people I worked with who were claiming the dole, we got paid cash in hand and of course the owners didn't even check out references, I also wouldn't be suprised if they didn't even check out security checks for criminal records.

Actually, a lot of them are scumbags. I went on one of these things ages ago and most of them had criminal convictions for drink driving or assault and they racially insulted any foreign people who turned down their offer of Sky (behind their backs of course ) The guy I was shadowing started ranting about a guy being a Paki bastard because he spoke with an accent and had a bit of trouble understanding your man's knackery speech.

Where I worked there was one guy who was fired because he apparently went around house to house in a dodgy area in Dublin looking for cash donations over a week period according to the owner, we later found out that was bs.
