I'm running 1.2.6 at the mo, if you buy te retail version anyway you'll get the most up to date version anyway!

Only thing better than Traktor is Ableton. So yeah, you definitely can't go wrong with Traktor. I'm using two Kontrol X1s and an M-Audio Profire 610 soundcard (or one X1 and an Audio 2 DJ when I only need 2 decks) and it's a more or less perfect set-up for using Traktor in clubs. If you get a controller or soundcard that comes with Traktor LE you'll save €70 on upgrading to Traktor Pro, so I'd say go that route.

Lots of Traktor lovers here, would much prefer Serato sl3

am i the only one who prefers VDJ (using a herc rmx)? would like someone to tell me why exactly trakter is better. id use traktor if i had a controller that was custom made for the program and user friendly but VDJ and herc rmx is perfect together- no glitches, never crashes- just a great mixing program. traktor prob give you loads of options with effects and loops but im not really into doing anything except playing good tracks and mixing them well. when iv played in clubs using my set up other djs have laughed at me for using VDJ but i have done (technically) everything they did.

If you are a Vinly head, really think Serato sl3 would be your best bet, it is a bit more expensive than Traktor and dosent have that sync option, you do the hard work with your ears:)

Just wondering if anyone has seen this or have they used it?

Traktor is the king. Serato is only a mickey mouse program in comparison. I had the serato sl1 for a few years before getting Traktor from the girlfriend at christmas. Even if you dont want to use the sync function and mix using your ears traktor is better. I cant understand anyone buying the sl3 which is now more expensive than the complete Traktor package. I have never used vdj but i have some friends that love it.
