ITunes Problem

Hi, I got an Ipod Touch back in april, and I tried to do the update to 4.0 OS as and when Itunes informed me it was available, I did this, and it got so far, then i had a progress line on my ipod touch, and then when it got so far it stopped. Then my ipod would neither turn on or off, just kept turning it self on and off, but never fully on, only got as far as the apple logo then turned off. However, apple replaced it.
Then I got the new one, and the exact same friggin thing happened when I tried to update to 4.0 OS yet again.
Again, apple are going to replace it, im just waiting on the replacement now.

So im guessing its a problem with my Itunes??

My question is, if I uninstall Itunes, then download and install it again... and Login to Itunes with my ID and Password, will everything I have bought still be there?? I do realise that all my cds that ive uploaded will be lost, that I can deal with. But I dont wanna loose everything Ive bought! Any info you can give me would be so helpful, and sorry if this is in the wrong thread new to this..

i think everything you purchased directly from Itunes will be there. But having never done this i can’t be 100% sure.
Do you have access to another computer? You can authorize up to 5 computers for your Itunes account . You should try it first on different one before you go deleting everything.
