As title states, aldi selling bottles of this beer for 6.29.

Has anyone tried it yet? Suspiciously enough it looks like it's in EXACTLY the same bottles as Frankfurter beer and Perlenbacher beers which have same percentage strength, quantity and price tag from Aldi and Lidl respectively, and IMHO both decent beers, 6 x bottles for the price of a pint in some pubs around Dublin!!!!

I have a feeling the one brewery is making the one beer, and changing nothing except the packaging and names.

    So, now the big question.

Anyone been supping on this beer yet?

Funnily enough I found a big difference in taste between Frankfurter beer and Perlenbacher beer ... Perlenbacher I liked , Frankfurther I found to be too gasy, tasted very harsh and gave me a headache ... thats why I was suspicious about this when I saw it in Aldi ... I thought "ah, thats just rebottled/rebranded Frankfurter ... so I avoided it.

Jeez, that's a tough one.I really like Staroslav but it just didn't give me the mental kick that this Rheinbacher did, was very impressed.

Maybe I haven't found a 10/10 beer yet hehe. I loved Singa on tap when I was in Thailand. If I had to make one 10/10 of all the beers I've tried I'd prob side with that Belgian Duvel stuff, wicked. :)

Yeah, had my stag night in Belgium a few years back, duvel kicks butt alright!!!

For me, toss up between Tyske and Coopers sparkling ale.

Both very tasty, both very liable to pit you on
    Your back lol!

If you get the chance, pick up some coopers. Make sure it's the SPARKLING ale, and not pale ale.
O'Briens sell it afaik (i used to by mine from there)
Gorgeous beer I tell ya! Think it's 5.6% if I rem correctly too!
