Short-haul sun holiday in October

    Can anyone recommend such a holiday? I'm looking to go at the end of October. I can only go for 5-6 days max.

    How reliable is the weather in France, Spain, Italy at that time of year?
    Would I be better off going to North Africa or the US?

    My budget is less than €1000, although I'd prefer to aim lower than that.

    I'd say somewhere in the canaries would be your best bet for weather.

    Tunisia and morocco would have decent weather at that time, however, they are boring holes! (but cheap to get to and cheap when you're there)

    Egypt is a great place to go and has good weather in Oct but will be more expensive.

    Make sure your dates don't coincide with the mid-term school break or you can forget about getting a cheap holiday.
