Hi folks, need a little help. I'm with meteor and my friend has just given me his old iphone 3gs as he has upgraded to the Ip 4. He was with o2 and apple are currently unlocking the phone, which im told can take up to 14 days. My question is, when i put my meteor sim into the soon to be unlocked 3gs, will it automatically work as a normal unlocked phone would, viz a vis internet and text messaging etc or do i have to put in any meteor specific codes etc. thanks for the help in advance. I couldn't find this question on existing threads.

you'll have to input meteor specific mms/data/voicemail/tethering settings.
all of which are on this forum if you search meteor iphone settings

A friend of mine has a problem. She's got an unlocked voda 3GS and when she puts her meteor sim in it it says "sim card not compatible to activate iPhone"

    Any ideas?

I've been told they were emailed the unlocking steps by vodafone and followed them, unless they did it wrong...

when i unlocked my cousins iPhone from O2 it took 2 syncs with iTunes to fully unlock it.

the first time threw some similar problems as your own, so i sync'd it again and got the unlocked screen again and from then it was perfect.

    try resyncing it with iTunes.
