Mediterranean Deepstack Poker Championships 7th-10th Oct 2010

    D4 events is running a deepstack event in the beautiful Slovenian resort of Portoroz from 7th-10th October.

    The schedule is as follows:

    7th October 8pm - €60 Satellite to Main Event - rebuys €50.

    8th October - 1pm Med Deepstack Main Event €550 - 3 Day Event - 250 player cap - 50k chips, 1 hr clock.

    9th October - 4pm €300 Side Event 15,000 chips, 40 min clock, 2 Day Event

    10th October - 2pm €200 Side Event 10,000 Chips, 30 min Clock, 1 day event

    This event will follow the same structure as the Deepstack Open events.

    Casino Portoroz has a very forward thinking attitude to poker and our event marks the official grand European opening of the new 250 seater poker room.

    All players will recieve a complimentary buffet on the 8th/9th & 10th. The food here is excellent. Players will also receive a VIP card giving discounts off the already cheap food and drink in the casino.

    Free airport transfers can be arranged. Aer Lingus flies to Venice or you can get a flight from Birmingham or Stansted to Trieste which is nearer to Portoroz.

    We have arranged some great rates on hotels:

    5 Star Hotels €100 Per Night!

    4 Star Hotels €80 Per Night!

    3 Star Hotels €70 Per Night!

    Prices are for double/twin rooms and include buffet breakfast.

    The exes involved in travelling to this event are probably equatable to playing any festival in Ireland. I can guarantee you that the food and quality of hotel are better and cheaper. The weather will still be reasonably warm and the Slovenian people are very hospitable and speak good english for the most part. All the dealers speak English.

    It would be good to see some Irish players come over to play. The value should be good and I doubt poker players will get the VIP status they will get here in any other European casino. We already have a few of you reserved places already.

    TGF poker will be running some satellites for packages including hotel & exes.
