Unlocking code not working

    I upgraded my phone, got the unlocking code for my old phone from Vodafone.
    Tried putting it in several times but it came up 'not allowed' on the phone.
    Vodafone say the only way to unlock it is to send it back to them.
    Is this the case? Is there any way I can do it myself?

    Afraid not. Once you enter the code more than 3 times its hard locked, and needs to be unlocked using a cable and software. It wont take long. Ask if you need the address in dundalk.

    You could bring it to an unlocking shop yourself, and they could also unlock it using a cable but they will charge you for doing this. The price will depend on what model the phone is, could be anywhere between €10-50
