Do you need ESTA for connecting flight in the US???

    Flying London-Chicago-Toronto next week. Do i need ESTA?? Only staying in Chicago airport for two hours.

    Yes, international flights in Chicago come into terminal 5, you then go through immigration pick up your bags and bring them through customs and then bring your bags to the transit desk (they should already be tagged for Toronto). I googled a few flights from Chicago -> Toronto and it seems most of them go from terminal 1 or 2, there is a train connecting all the terminals which takes about 10-15 mins. You will have to go through security in the new terminal also.

    Yeah, and just stick "in transit" in the 'address in the US' field.

    Yes, you always have to pick up your bags and clear customs when arriving from abroad into the US regardless of final destination.

    Dammit! I could be in a spot of bother so! I only have 2 hrs 19 mins layover time in Chicago. I am going to have to get bag, get past security and then check back in again and go thru security again, have i got that right? SUGAR!!!!!!

    You don't have to check back in again, you will get 2 boarding passes in London and your bag will be tagged for Toronto. Once you go through customs the transit desks are on the right, you just toss your bag on and head off to the other terminal.
