Good Running tops/t-shirts

So I went out for a jog yesterday and it started to rain shortly after I went out and it rained quite hard. I normally wear a pair of skins under my tracksuit bottoms to prevent chaffing but as my top I just wear an old baggy t-shirt that I have. I've been using this same t-shirt for the past few weeks and it's not given me any bother but yesterday it was starting to rub quite a lot around the nipple area, I think perhaps the rain was a factor as well as it's normally been dry when I've been out.

Anyway, I never use bodyglide on my top half as I've never needed it but I'm thinking this t-shirt isn't the best thing to be wearing when out for a jog/run, especially if the weather turns bad.

Any recommendations for a men's running t-shirt/top and preferably one with short sleeves as opposed to sleeveless.

    Thanks.

You need a technical t-shirt. Nike dri-fit, or something like that. Any running shop will have them, and lots of races will give them out afterwards.

All the technical tops are pretty much the same (Nike, Puma, Adidas, RonHill etc). After a few races you just end up with an abundance of them. Head up to your local TKMaxx and try and pick up a few bargains. Otherwise Wiggle.co.uk are pretty good. Also by the sounds of things, Elverys sports are having a sale at the moment (three items, cheapest is free).

Do the Adidas race series and you'll get a fine set of decent running t-shirts.

Wearing a cotton top is not the best in any weather, if it's hot then you'll sweat buckets and the t-shirt will just get heavier and probably cause you nipple issues, if its raining then the t-shirt will get heavy and probably cause you nipple issues. The tops like they give out at the end of the race series will not get heavy and collect water/ sweat and are less likely to cause problems. I have had very mild nipple issues whilst wearing that type but it was only after a very long and wet run and I'd not lubed up before hand. A dollop of vaseline per nipple usually gets me through a marathon.

The best running top I've got is a Matt Roberts one, that I nabbed in TKMaxx. Love it. It has a rubber rim, that keeps the end of it from riding up. I've not had any luck with finding anothere one there since though.

You can buy online, but they don't deliver to Ireland, so if you have someone in the UK, you could get it sent to them.
