    Hi all,
I currently have sky movies for 3 months (1/2 price) and have a few movies recorded (Sky+).When I cancel the movies package, will I still be able to view what I have already recorded?

    Thanks

You definitely do lose the ability to view them when you cancel. They remain in your planner though and should you resubscribe they could be viewed. Bit sh1t if you ask me.

It stops people subscribing to the movie channels for a short period, recording everything possible, and then canceling.

You could record them onto dvd before cancelling

It's same with all recording on Sky box.

It records "as is" without going via CAM. The record path adds extra encryption layer. Playback path is only possible via CAM.
So you need sub card with (+) enabled to decrypt the extra layer added at record time, so even FTA channels won't playback without a sub.
Then you have any original encryption. It uses the card as if it's live broadcast as it's same route as Tuner to MPEG decoder via CAM. So it's always the packages on card at playbback time that counts as playback is effectively live reception for the rest of the Digibox.

That's exactly what I did with a few recordings. It wont be in HD but it's better than nothing.

You can extract the FTA recordings off a Sky box by removing the HDD and connecting to a latop/PC and using this software.

ONLY FTA. And blah blah probably voids your warranty etc.
