Theres a Hummingbird that seems to have wandered into my garage and now it can't seem to find it's way out. Don't know why it's there and don't know how to get it out. Thoughts?

Thing's about as big as a Thumb and chirps like a squeak toy.

I'm assuming you've tried leaving the door open? :)

Maybe put a big flowering pot plant just outside the door within view of the bird?

Let the garage door open or else leave it closed and get a net and catch the humming bird or get another one to keep it company!:D Make a nest, allow the bird to stay in it and nick it and throw the bird outside!

We have a feeder on our deck so we get them coming and going a lot.

    You should get a feeder.

There isn't a hope in hell it's a hummingbird. Could be a hummingbird moth as suggested earlier.

It is in fact a Hummingbird because I don't live in Ireland: so Ha. 29485. We've seen the genuine article a few times outside the kitchen and this was defintely no moth. You cant fake that plumage, tail or beak.

Videos up. I think he's gone out but all the same I left the garden door open if he was hiding in there. Lens kept fogging up from the humidity.

Yes. Thats me and my accent. Bugger off.

According to all the threads, a cat or a cooker is your best option for getting rid of him.

Maybe just a cat would do.

Ask it what are its favourite humming noises.

    Or do this:

    Should leave then.
