Just a quick question, maybe its a stupid one, but is there a difference between a Visa Card and a Mastercard? Which one would be better to get?

    Nothing substantive.

Think Ford vs Opel. Both drive from A to B :)

That's a pretty rubbish analogy, a Ford and an Opel are quite different in design and performance.:pac:

no difference to us. They both are widely accepting throughout the world.

The main thing to look at is the interest rate the bank is charging for the card and also charges and so forth. This is set by the bank themselves so this is much more important.

    Hi,

If you are planning to use the credit card on any gambling websites then choose the VISA card. While Mastercards may allow you to deposit money to gambling sites they will not let you withdraw any back to the card.

    Copy & paste from Paddypower.com

"European Mastercard issuers have unilaterally decided that they will no longer accept withdrawals back onto their cards. Also, some Sterling customers with an address in Northern Ireland or outside the UK may not be able to withdraw funds back onto their Mastercard either."

Not sure if any of the above applies to you but better with the information then without.

    Thanks

Not a huge amount of difference but Visa has slightly wider global acceptance. MasterCard is very European and American.
