Chinchilla caging?

so after doing my research on those cuddly fat squirrels i heard that plastic isnt good for them, they chew it, get poisoned blah blah blah
so what cage is good for them? did you build a diy cage?
id prefer a commercial cage since im useless at DIY and its for 2 chinchillas

Try zooplus usually cheaper than most shops.
Wire cage with timber platforms are the usual choice.
Bases of cages are generally plastic for easy cleaning.
Bigger the cage the better with plenty of space for them to leap about but they'd also need a Chinchilla proof room for plenty of out of cage time.

I am currently using two of these one on top of each other http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_cages_carriers/carriers/metal_cages_and_boxes/139799 so basically the cage is 6ft high by 3ft by 4ft roughly for 3 chins.. I am down sizing to 1 chin, if sale goes to plan and will have one of the cages for sale plenty big for 2 chins and great fun to decorate. Ill find the link and show ya how i done them up..
