i have a shallow well at the bottom of my field and i want to get rid of the rushes ... i am afraid to spray them as the run off will end up in my well water...
any ideas? better to cut them?

How about cutting them to thin them and get fresh growth..
Then a weed wiper might be better, the chemical only gets applied to the plant and there should be no run-off...

Keep it away from it. My nieces had gold fish and I licked a field that has a well. They always got water from the well for the fish bowl. Pinky 1 and 2 ended up floating upside down in their bowl and replacements had to be bought. It would not be worth the risk of it getting into drinking water.

    +1..Fish Come first :p
There is a good chance it will seep into the water table..I think weed licking is your best bet!!

It was a tragedy I tell ya - no funeral costs as they were flushed down the toilet, but I had to splash out for the replacements.
